Young migrant digital inclusion
Project Description
The WAVE project aims to empower young migrants by improving their digital skills and fostering their inclusion in the digital world. It seeks to build the capacity of youth workers and digital trainers, equipping them with tools to support young migrants.
Objectives
- The WAVE project aims to empower young migrants by improving their digital skills and fostering their inclusion in the digital world. It seeks to build the capacity of youth workers and digital trainers, equipping them with tools to support young migrants.
- The project also promotes active citizenship among young people through peer learning, encouraging community engagement and reducing the digital divide.
Implementation
- WAVE implements key activities through five work packages, including the co-creation of a digital toolkit and the publication of a report on young migrants’ digital literacy (WP2).
- It also includes training for youth workers and digital trainers (WP3), and the delivery of digital skills courses and peer programmes for young migrants (WP4).
- To disseminate its results, WAVE organises targeted local and international events such as the Digital Skills Inclusion Days and the Transnational Conference (WP5).
Expected Results
WAVE expects to produce an accessible digital toolkit available in five languages, benefiting 190 youth workers and digital trainers. 270 young migrants will complete a 20-hour digital skills course, and 110 local young people will take part in peer programmes.
The project will improve digital literacy, foster inclusion, and create transnational networks, impacting local communities and enhancing the digital readiness of marginalised young people across Europe.
