Project Description
The project “Engaging Youth in Digital Green Future 2.0” emerged in response to the pressing need to educate and engage young people in key political debates surrounding the European Green Deal and the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Objectives
- To raise awareness among young people about the European Green Deal and the 2030 Agenda, fostering their understanding of the key role they play in sustainability.
- To promote the active participation of young people to generate local change in the face of global challenges, empowering them as agents of change.
- To bring young people closer to EU decision-making processes, facilitating their understanding and participation through debates and practical activities.
- To develop digital and green skills, equipping them with tools to contribute to a sustainable future in the digital age.
Implementation
The project “Engaging Youth in Digital Green Future 2.0” arises to address the need to involve young people in discussions about the European Green Deal and the 2030 Agenda, especially after the adoption of the Fit for 55 plan. Through activities such as debates, participatory workshops, and teacher training, it seeks to empower young people to understand and contribute to sustainability. The project encourages their participation in local initiatives and European political processes, strengthening their sense of responsibility and connection with the EU. Additionally, it promotes the development of digital skills and the use of technological tools to amplify their voice on climate issues. Aligned with the EU Youth Strategy, it also fosters inclusion, international dialogue, and the active role of young people as agents of change towards a more sustainable future.
Expected Results
Effective project management and coordination, ensuring the achievement of objectives, deadlines, and proper oversight of activities and results.
Increased project visibility and impact through dissemination strategies, awareness-raising about the Green Deal and the 2030 Agenda, and the creation of channels and platforms for youth participation.
