Digital ErasMUSeum Learning
Project Description
Our project is transnational and innovative because it is based on open and innovative practices in the digital age, promoting the acquisition of skills and competences, raising awareness of and appreciation for heritage, values and culture, in order to strengthen a shared sense of European identity. To rise to the challenges we face, we aim to ensure an effective response that reaches our project partners and all EU members in general. Our partnership will support the development of new pedagogical approaches and, in particular, e-learning tools and collaborative online platforms where students and teachers can learn, teach and co-create course content.
Objectives
- to understand the concept of culture by identifying one’s own cultural heritage and improving one’s ability to adapt to different cultures
- to understand the significance of cultural heritage and recognise its contribution to our lives
- to use an open and innovative teaching and learning assessment process in the digital age
- to improve teaching practices and develop new teaching materials
- To promote lifelong learning, critical thinking and creativity in all project activities through cross-curricular teaching
- To support the learning outcomes set out in the curriculum through activities related to the objects in the museums
- To give students, teachers and participants the opportunity to play an active part in the project’s activities, with equal opportunities for both genders, and to improve their language skills.
- Practical experience in the use of mobile learning and IT enhances management skills and internationalisation strategies
- to create, through this multicultural experience, a more modern, dynamic and professional environment
- To provide students, teachers and participants with the opportunity to research and work with primary sources through museum objects.
- to raise awareness of European values and European citizenship
- to develop the digital skills of teachers, students, parents and educational institutions so that they can access free educational resources
Implementation
The Digital ErasMUSeum – Learning project has been implemented through close collaboration between the six partners from Sweden, Greece, Romania, Spain and Turkey, coordinated by Inercia Digital, integrating digital tools and innovative pedagogical approaches into the day-to-day work of schools and educational centres. During the project, training sessions for teachers have been organised, along with joint activities with pupils, the creation of audiovisual materials on each country’s cultural heritage, and the design of a mobile app and a virtual museum that allow users to explore cultural collections interactively. This initiative aligns with the digital priority of Erasmus+, strengthening the digital skills of teachers and students, and fostering creativity, critical thinking and European citizenship through cultural heritage.
