Project Description
The proposal aims to promote the use of 3D technology in the medical sector by introducing an online 3D library of diagnostic and training materials. To make the most of the valuable training resources provided by medical images produced by hospitals, easy and open access to these images is required, and specific training is needed to maximise the use and benefits of these educational resources.
Objectives
- To enhance the training and education of healthcare professionals in the EU by developing a powerful open educational resource in the form of an online library (Al3xandria) that compiles medical information and images produced by hospitals.
- To support the initial and ongoing professional development of teachers, trainers and mentors by developing a specific training course focused on the use of Ale3andria and the 3DMM in the teaching of healthcare professionals
- To support students, healthcare professionals and other learners in using digital technologies, such as 3D printing and virtual reality (VR), in creative, collaborative and efficient ways, by providing them with access to both 3DMM and training resources that enable them to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge.
Implementation
This project will produce materials for a European training course designed to equip healthcare professionals across Europe with the knowledge and practical skills required to integrate new techniques and resources into their day-to-day practice, with a view to improving the delivery of care and driving innovation in the healthcare sector.
Expected Results
E-learning platform (IO1) offering courses, lesson plans and interactive resources for K-12 teachers on digital learning tools.
