Project Description
The small-scale strategic partnership project United in Diversity will increase the working capacity of adult educators and provide key tools for social cohesion, community empowerment, civic participation and social inclusion. The objective is to improve the situation of workers in the youth field in the Netherlands, Spain and Croatia, leading to a Europe united in diversity with lower levels of discrimination, social exclusion and radical extremist ideology among young people.
Objectives
- Informal education methods and intercultural learning methods (icebreakers, brainstorming, simulations, etc.) at the beginning of the training and as part of the general programme.
- The training programme will focus on interactive sessions in which young people will develop solutions to address social exclusion.
- The success of the project will also be reflected in the improvement of youth educators in social responsibility and in capacity-building activities that contribute to living together in dignity and dialogue through a network of specifically shared experiences of youth workers that reinforce presence and promote the values of diversity in the community.
Implementation
The implementation of the project is based on a collaborative multi-sectoral structure that seeks to integrate transformational leadership with social innovation. The process is deployed through the creation of knowledge exchange platforms, the execution of specific capacity-building training programmes and the facilitation of dialogue spaces between the business, government and civil society sectors. It relies on a working methodology that fosters shared learning, the development of technical capacities and the implementation of tangible solutions adapted to the diversity and inclusion challenges of each local context.
Expected Results
Creation of tangible and sustainable solutions for social transformation and democratic development.
Increase in collaborative leadership competences among various social actors, facilitating inter-sectoral collaboration.
Development of training and capacity-building platforms that guarantee greater equity in access to resources and opportunities.
Strengthening of social cohesion through the recognition and valuation of diversity as a driver of innovation and institutional progress.
