Project Description
The ongoing digital transformation is reshaping industries, economies, and societies worldwide. Advanced 5G technologies are playing a crucial role in this transformation, offering faster connectivity, reduced latency, and enhanced reliability compared to previous generations of mobile networks.
Objectives
- Develop a multidisciplinary curriculum in advanced 5G technologies and green skills for HE and VET, creating 8 courses tailored to sector needs.
- Train 200 professionals in deep tech (5G, IoT, Industry 4.0, and AI) through continuous training programs.
- Foster entrepreneurship with an acceleration program for 25 student-led startups and integrate entrepreneurship courses into participating institutions.
- Promote collaboration between education, research, and industry through networking events and a digital knowledge-sharing platform.
Implementation
The 5G-DiGITs project is a multinational initiative responding to the growing demand for training in advanced 5G technologies, bringing together partners from several European countries. Its objective is to develop innovative educational and continuous training programs that connect academia with industry. The project includes the design of multidisciplinary curricula, entrepreneurship and acceleration programs, as well as knowledge exchange and market strengthening actions. Thanks to the diversity of its partners, it provides different perspectives and regional expertise, increasing its impact and applicability in various contexts.
Expected Results
Implementation of 8 training courses across multiple educational institutions, contributing to reducing the skills gap in digital and green technologies.
Development of 4 continuous training programs and upskilling of at least 200 professionals in deep tech sectors.
Creation and support for 25 startups, along with the participation of at least 240 students in entrepreneurship programs.
Organization of 3 intersectoral events and launch of an online platform with over 50 resources for knowledge exchange.
