APERTURE – collAboration for imPlemEnting gReen Technologies in the bUildings and pRoperty sEctor
Project Description
The lack of collaboration between industry and educational institutions in the construction and Proptech sectors creates a mismatch between what HEIs and VET providers teach and the skills required in a rapidly evolving market that demands specialization in emerging professions.
Objectives
- Develop new curricula in green technologies and Proptech in collaboration with industry, integrating practical and up-to-date learning.
- Enhance and adapt existing training programs in areas such as building management, energy efficiency, digitalization, and automation.
- Strengthen competencies through upskilling and reskilling programs aligned with market needs in sectors such as construction, hospitality, and facility management.
- Promote entrepreneurship and innovation through the creation of a Proptech incubator and the strengthening of a collaborative ecosystem among education, industry, and investors.
Implementation
The APERTURE project will analyze gaps in existing curricula and develop an online course with innovative materials to modernize training in this field. Additionally, it will launch a Proptech business incubator that will culminate in a business plan competition, where students will receive mentorship to create innovative solutions with commercial potential. The consortium, formed by partners from 7 European countries and supported by a FinTech cluster of over 600 SMEs, will ensure the dissemination, sustainability, and long-term impact of the project.
Expected Results
Creation of a specialized curriculum and 6 training modules, along with over 50 reusable educational materials and online resources.
Implementation of training programs with at least 250 participants and practical application of learning in work environments.
Development of an incubator with 21 entrepreneurial teams, participation of 50 ecosystem stakeholders, and a business plan competition with prizes.
Generation of long-term impact and sustainability through knowledge transfer plans, ESG tools tested by companies, and extensive dissemination and networking activities.
