Digital Age Skills – Skills in demand for the jobs of the future
Project Description
DAS is a transnational project involving different partners and stakeholders. Its expected results must be analysed at different levels; namely, its target group, employers and partners are located in Europe.
Its main target group are employed or job-seeking displaced women, as well as women with low qualifications or few skills who may be forced to relocate due to economic problems. For this reason, the main objective of this project is to develop a series of free tools to guide these women. These tools will include the partners’ good practices and knowledge regarding the learning and promotion of skills related to the world of work, as well as the ability to solve problems related to this field. In this way, we seek to “unlock” the true potential of these women. Furthermore, in line with the growing demand for new jobs and the continuous socioeconomic changes we are experiencing globally, these skills will also enable them to adapt to the new demands of the labour market.
Objectives
- Develop a free toolkit to guide the reskilling and upskilling of low-skilled employees.
- Facilitate the adaptation of employed women (displaced or with low qualification levels) to the new needs of the labour market, characterised by digital transformation and post-pandemic effects.
- Provide employers and business leaders with a strategic vision on how to reskill their workforce, leveraging human capital as a competitive advantage.
- Increase the capacity of partner organisations to operate at a transnational level, strengthening their networks and their experience in managing European projects.
Implementation
The project is based on a collaborative transnational approach that integrates the exchange of ideas and good practices among all consortium members. Implementation is structured through the development of a common methodological tool (the aforementioned toolkit) that consolidates the partners’ knowledge in training. Furthermore, the consortium carries out joint working sessions to ensure skills transfer, strengthen project management capacities and effectively coordinate actions aligned with current labour market demands.
Expected Results
Creation of an open-access toolkit for worker reskilling, including the best practices identified by the consortium.
Improvement of the resilience, confidence and employability of participating employed women, enabling them to successfully navigate periods of career transition.
Optimisation of human resources in participating companies, facilitating the adoption of new technologies and the creation of long-term value.
Strengthening of the network of collaborating entities and an increase in their capacity to manage and implement projects on a European scale.
