Project Description
The project focuses on the theme of key competences, taking into account the needs of people over 50 years of age. Key competences are those competences that every individual needs for self-fulfilment and personal development, employment, social inclusion, sustainable lifestyle, successful living in peaceful societies, managing life in a healthy way and active citizenship.
Objectives
- Expand access to individualised education programmes for people over 50 years of age, taking into account the specificity and needs of these individuals.
- Support the development of key competences among people over 50 years of age in the project partner countries.
- Strengthen the competences of the technical staff and organisers of adult education in the EU by providing them with free, high-quality materials that support the training process for people over 50 years of age in the field of key competences.
Implementation
The project has been implemented through an approach focused on the acquisition and strengthening of key competences, specifically designing content adapted to the needs and characteristics of people over 50 years of age. Implementation has involved close collaboration among partner organisations to create accessible learning tools, the delivery of practical workshops and the integration of non-formal education methodologies that encourage the active participation of this age group.
Expected Results
Creation of a series of educational products and resources adapted to the needs of the over-50s demographic.
Significant increase in access to and acquisition of key competences, improving the employability and social inclusion of participants.
Development of teaching materials that enable older people to continue learning and updating their skills in a digital environment.
Strengthening of the collaborative network among European organisations dedicated to adult education and lifelong learning.
