LET’S START NEETs
Project Description
With this project, we want to create solutions for employability by developing many skills of NEETs (young people not in employment, education or training) in Europe, such as entrepreneurship, interdisciplinary work, critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, teamwork and information literacy through social entrepreneurship. To fight against social exclusion and unemployment, it is necessary to increase the digital skills of disadvantaged groups, actively participate in solving social issues and develop entrepreneurial skills.
Objectives
- Support the social entrepreneurship skills of young people with fewer opportunities with digital tools
- Develop tools for youth workers, trainers and teachers to promote disadvantaged social entrepreneurship
- The creation of business networks across the EU to promote the employability of NEETs and young people with fewer opportunities.
Implementation
- Increase cooperation among NGOs, research institutes, businesses, universities and youth workers across the EU on social entrepreneurship.
- Creation of social entrepreneurship training tools for youth workers
- Create tools and platforms to support the development of social entrepreneurship skills of NEETs and young people at risk of becoming NEETs.
Expected Results
Improvement in the quality and effectiveness of assistance, guidance and training (both formal and non-formal) aimed at NEETs (young people not in employment, education or training).
Effective transfer of innovative training methods to youth workers, increasing their capacity to support young people in vulnerable situations or with difficulties accessing the labour market.
Increase in employment and educational opportunities for NEETs through personalised support and the improvement of their skills.
Strengthening of transnational collaboration among youth organisations in Europe and Latin America, facilitating the exchange of successful strategies.
Creation of a lasting support network that allows scaling proven practices and fostering youth employability in a sustainable manner.
