Social Value Of Vocational Esthetician’s Training
Project Description
The SVoVET project addresses the growing demand for aesthetic services aimed at people in vulnerable situations, focusing on innovation in vocational training through a specialized program in social aesthetics. Its objective is to promote social inclusion by training professionals capable of meeting specific physical and emotional needs, while fostering European collaboration to develop a common training model and share best practices. Furthermore, it contributes to the economic growth of the beauty and wellness sector by improving professional competencies, positioning itself as an initiative with an impact on education, social cohesion, and the development of the European market.
Objectives
- To enhance innovation in vocational education and training through collaborative research and the establishment of international networks in the aesthetics sector.
- To develop a training experiment focused on lifelong learning and centered on the transversal competencies of estheticians, serving fragile individuals.
Implementation
- Conducting a literature review and defining educational materials, methods, and assessment tools.
- Conducting the pilot test with direct beneficiaries: qualified estheticians and collection of initial material.
- Development of Open Educational Resources (OER) and making them available as free and accessible resources.
- Carrying out communication and dissemination activities, as well as ensuring the sustainability and follow-up of the project.
Expected Results
Development of a specialized training program in socio-aesthetic care adaptable to the vocational training systems of all EU Member States, aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (SVoVET Protocol).
Assessment of socio-aesthetic competencies through evidence-based research involving estheticians.
Creation of educational materials, training methods, and assessment tools in the form of open educational resources (OER) for wide accessibility.
