TSQinVET
Development of a Subsystem for the Assessment and Recognition of Qualifications Acquired in the Work of Specialists in the Transport Sector
Project Description
The TSQinVET project addresses the challenge of improving the quality of vocational education and training (VET) in contexts of recent democratisation and economic transformation, by establishing a common reference framework on sustainability within VET quality systems. It proceeds from the idea that VET quality systems must adapt to new social and economic scenarios, integrating sustainability criteria (educational, labour market and environmental) to align training with the changing needs of the market and society. The project works in collaboration with European partners to define principles, criteria and procedures that enable VET centres and authorities to move towards truly sustainable quality, going beyond the simple evaluation of results.
Objectives
- Establish a shared vision of sustainability in VET quality, integrating educational, socio-labour and environmental dimensions into existing quality systems.
- Define sustainable quality principles and criteria in VET that can be adapted to different national frameworks and VET contexts.
- Develop evaluation procedures and tools that enable centres to measure and improve their quality from a sustainability perspective.
- Create open materials and resources on “sustainability in VET quality” for use by centres, evaluation institutions and educational authorities.
Implementation
The implementation of the project is based on the comparative analysis of quality systems and reference frameworks in VET in partner countries, from which a common proposal of sustainable quality principles and criteria is designed, which is validated through workshops and working groups with VET stakeholders (centres, inspectors, qualification agencies, companies); specific evaluation and self-assessment tools are developed and tested in real centres, analysing their impact on internal improvement processes, and the experiences and the quality sustainability model are documented in a methodological guide and a set of open resources accessible online, ensuring that other VET systems can adapt these criteria and tools to their own realities.
Expected Results
Greater coherence and convergence in VET quality criteria among partner countries, with a common focus on sustainability.
Availability of sustainable quality principles, criteria and procedures in VET, validated in real centres and with the possibility of national adaptation.
Improvement of the capacity of VET centres and authorities to design and apply evaluation and improvement processes that integrate sustainability.
Existence of open materials and resources on sustainability in VET quality for use in training, educational policy and continuous improvement of VET systems.
