Project Description

Youth work plays an important role in improving social inclusion.

The objective of the project is to facilitate the exchange of competences and experiences between 2 organisations from Romania and Spain to improve the quality of youth work, through the professional development of 12 youth workers, to become active agents of inclusion, to fight against discrimination and to foster the development of social, civic and intercultural competences among young people.

Objectives

Implementation

The project is implemented through the training and mentoring of 12 youth workers (6 Spanish and 6 Romanian) through joint professional development itineraries, transnational activities and face-to-face and online workshops. An Open Educational Resource and a MOOC platform focused on non-formal education methods, games and interactive tools for working with vulnerable young people and diverse groups are created. The partners design, plan and execute joint youth workshops that bring together young people from different social, economic and cultural contexts, fostering exchange and coexistence in a structured and safe environment. In parallel, 21 new non-formal education methods and a board game to work on inclusion, tolerance and discrimination prevention are developed, which are documented and disseminated as open resources.

Expected Results

Improvement of the professional competence of 12 youth workers in inclusion, intercultural mediation and the design of inclusive non-formal activities.

An open OER and a MOOC platform on “Youth Work 2.0” for the design, implementation and evaluation of inclusive activities, usable by trainers, young workers and other youth experts.

Greater participation and coexistence of young people with and without fewer opportunities in joint activities, with improvements in social, civic and intercultural competences.

Access to a catalogue of innovative methods and pedagogical materials (including a book on “Reaching out to marginalised young people”, 21 methods and a board game) for inclusive youth work practice.
